Billing Representative - Remote in PST or CST

This function is responsible for medical and ancillary product premium billing. Positions in this function interact with customers gathering support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies. Provide input to policies, systems, methods, and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function. Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications. Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed. Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables. May also include quality assurance and audit of billing activities.
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 6:
00am “ 5:
00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer weeks of paid training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment.

Required
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 1
years hospital acute billing experience - 1
years of medical billing experience with Medicare - Proficiency with Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to navigate multiple programs and learn new and complex computer system applications

Preferred
Qualifications:

years of experience in a related environment (i.e. office, administrative, clerical, customer service, etc.) using phones and computers as the primary job tools - Previous experience in billing or collections
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within Pacific OR Central Time Zone
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

The hourly range for California, Nevada or Washington residents is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour.
